We believe in pre-planning our sessions. It takes a lot of time and creativity to style a session, so we always spend time ahead of our sessions planning out each pose, set up and styling possibilities. We don't have the brain space during a session for baby taming, connecting with clients, getting the images just right, PLUS spontaneous session planning.

We used to use the backs of envelopes, bucket hugger packaging or basically anything we could find to write on! Our session planner is a hell of a lot easier. 

Our advice? Print 2 for each session! Use the first one to freely create, document your ideas and generally plan your session guided by your props. Then use the second to get all your poses in order and clean it all up so it's easy to follow during your session.
